the dark lord zero focuses on the story of a swordsman chosen by a goddess of night and death to save the world's spirit streams from stagnation.
when the swordsman opens the first stream; by killing the creature guarding the magic seal, he unwittingly allows the literal persona of evil itself into his world for the first time in ages.

what ensues is a nightmare as the swordsman desperately clings to his sanity and morals as they slowly crumble in the face of the situations he's faced with, from being brainwashed into becoming a genocidal overlord hellbent on purging an entire planet, to having everything he's ever cared about cast aside and rendered meaningless, the swordsman is pushed over the edge, all the while the lord of evil urging him on continues manipulating everything from the shadows.

can the black wanderer hope to keep his morals? or will the last nightmare be too much for him?
